What this knowledge lost was never its texts. It was ground.
Classical Indian medicine and geriatric care never lost their texts, their Vaidyas or their institutions. What was lost was somewhere to practise — a real clinical sanctuary, with records and instruments, where a Vaidya and a researcher handle the same evidence and therapeutic outcomes can be systematically observed. It survived in texts, in family lineages and in local practices, which is how a body of wisdom stays alive and stops being measured at the same time.
An instrument earns its place by being able to prove you wrong — and we hold this page to the same standard, which is why every part of the plan below carries where it has actually got to.
We are not going to tell you the classical treatises knew everything, and we are not going to pretend a centuries-old medical tradition is without merit because it was not written up as a modern trial. Both end in the same place, which is that nobody measures anything. The scarce thing was never another argument about traditional medicine. It was a place, run well, that someone could actually reach.

The instruments, and qualified practitioners to run them. A clinical laboratory whose results others accept also needs an accreditation we have not applied for.

What it is for
A campus needs nothing new written for it. The place tree, the calendar and the order record that run this website are the same ones it would use.
What would make it real
Running today, for places other people own. It is the whole of what Ojas Care sells, and it is open to anyone with a place to let.
How the plan is organised
- Separation is the organising idea — visitors, residents and service traffic each keep to their own route rather than sharing one
- Buildings are sited by the wind and the slope of the land, not by what is cheapest to put up
- A campus is entered into the same place records this website already runs on — an estate, its buildings, its rooms
- Nothing separate gets written for it, which is the whole reason the software came first
Said plainly, so you can check it
The campus is a plan on paper. There is no site, no laboratory, no instrument, no animal and no sample anywhere in this software. No land is held, no building is up, no equipment is bought, nobody is hired to run any of it, and no capital is approved for that work — which is the plainest reason there is no date on this page, and will not be one until that changes.
That list is specific on purpose. A reader can check a list and cannot check a hedge, so we would rather hand you something you can hold us to than a word like “soon”.
There is nothing to sign up to here either — no waitlist, no register of interest. When there is something real to offer, it will appear on this page as a thing you can do, rather than as a form that collects your address in the meantime.
Infrastructure, never the knowledge
Courses, cohorts, curriculum, certification and scholarship belong to the knowledge partner who already does that work. Ojas Care's contribution is the ground, the instruments, the records and the commercial rails they run on — the infrastructure, never the knowledge — and it takes infrastructure economics for doing so.
This one is not a queue. It is not work that arrives later, and marking it “not built” would misdescribe it — it sits outside Ojas Care’s scope permanently, on the grounds that a partner institution does it better.
The test applied to anything proposed for a campus: if a partner institution would do this better, Ojas Care does not do it — it provides the infrastructure the partner does it on.
The same line already holds on the part that runs. The place you book on this website is the operator’s: Ojas Care owns, develops and staffs none of them.
The work is where the land is
Ground of this kind belongs in rural India itself rather than at the nearest city, because the work it serves happens where the land, the crop and the practice already are — and because what a district produces is worth most one step after it leaves, which is the step that currently happens somewhere else.
People leave a rural district because the capital, the machines and the brands are all somewhere else, so the value leaves with the raw material and comes back as a finished product at a markup. Where paid work exists only for the months around a harvest, the young leave for a city site, and their skills leave with them.
And it is not only the money. Educated young people do not leave a village only because the work pays badly — they leave because of what the work makes them in the eyes of the people they grew up with, and that is a problem no better price for the crop has ever fixed.
There is a practical half too. Equipment built in an air-conditioned room tends to fail in its first week outside; heat, damp, dust and an unreliable supply find the weak part faster than any test rig. Work that has to survive contact with the physical world is badly served by being done a long way from it.
The standard we hold ourselves to
Nothing on this site is a health claim, and nothing on it will become one before there is published work behind it that someone other than us can check. Ojas Care holds no clinical accreditation and employs no practitioner, and says so here rather than leaving you to work it out.
The state of the wider field is worth saying plainly too: there is still no agreed, independently validated way to assign a person one of the classical constitution types. We would rather name that than write around it.
The published methods that make measurement of this kind tractable are other people’s, and we point at them rather than claim them. Reverse pharmacology — starting from a preparation people have already taken for centuries and working backwards to find what in it is doing the work, rather than isolating a molecule first — was set out in India by Dr Ashok Vaidya. So is the answer to the obvious objection that a trial giving everyone the same treatment cannot test a practice built on giving people different ones: the published response is to run the trial inside one patient, alternating treatments over repeated blocks, and pool many such patients afterwards.
The layer a campus runs on is already here
And that is the order we chose deliberately: it had to be worth using on other people's places before it was worth putting under any ground of ours.
An operator publishes a place. A seeker or family filters to it, reads which days it is actually free, and books and pays for it without an account. A senior care suite, an assisted room, a Panchakarma recovery unit, an independent cottage, and a therapy hall are the same kind of record — one place sitting inside another — so a single browse page carries all of them.
What we built first is the part that pays for itself, because nothing here runs on a grant line or on somebody’s continued goodwill. It is open to anybody with a place to let, and we are taking on our first few now.
